Guidelines for Evaluators

AD-GNOSIS considers the professional evaluation of texts by anonymous pairs (double-blind evaluation) essential support for its editorial decisions and to guarantee the quality of its content. Articles are submitted to evaluation by at least two national or international peers, to which a format will be sent by the journal. Once the proposed document has been evaluated, the author or authors will receive the evaluation for their review and adjustment. They will have a deadline set by the editor of the journal to return the article duly revised. Process characteristics:

1- The pair of reviewers are professionals with postgraduate studies in the journal's area of interest. Also, for Colombians to have updated CvLAC and foreigners to have ORCID code.
2- By accepting to evaluate a work for AD-GNOSIS, the academic pair undertake to issue their concept and recommendations objectively, to follow the established evaluation protocols, in particular, to fill out the Journal Evaluation Form, and to meet the deadlines set by the direction. The pairs may not delegate their evaluation work to third parties.
3- The estimated times of the process are: Acceptance response 2 weeks and evaluation submission is four weeks.
4- The pair of reviewers may not have ethical incompatibilities (personal, financial, intellectual, professional, political, or religious) to make judgments about articles to be published in AD-GNOSIS. If an evaluator believes that they have an ethical incompatibility or do not have sufficient professional qualifications to evaluate an article, they must immediately notify the Management.
5- As a result of the evaluation of a work, the reviewers may accept it without modifications, with  modifications, or reject it.
6- The Directorate will not reveal the names of the authors or their institutional affiliation to the reviewers. The evaluators, whose names are not known by the authors, must keep due confidentiality, both with the full text and with its parts (references, data, results, analysis, conclusions).
7- Unpublished materials cannot be used by reviewers for any purpose. If they wish to quote them for their relevance to other studies, it must be with the express authorization of the authors.
8- In the event that one or both reviewers request modifications to the text as a condition for its acceptance, the Directorate will notify the authors and grant them a period to make the requested revisions to the satisfaction of the evaluators. If, after this period, the journal has not received the modified text,
the Directorate may rescind the acceptance of the writing.
