This article is the result of an exercise to reflect on the participation and economic importance that the sector known as the Orange Economy has been developing. The analysis addressed a historical approach, one from its contribution to innovation, and one from the increasing inclusion of goods and services of this sector in the basket of consumption of the country. Finally, given the concern about the degree of saturation that some services in this sector face, it is proposed to measure a factor of attrition whose results contribute to policy decisions and investment in the matter.
