From mother goddesses to art protagonists: Challenges to reflection

Se parte de la valoracio?n del papel que desempen?a la mujer en el arte, en correspondencia con el desarrollo que ha tenido en la historia y su papel como guardiana y hacedora de la cultura y el arte. Estos elementos se analizan en el contexto latinoamericano y co?mo las mujeres han desempen?ado un papel fundamental sobre todo desde mediados del siglo XX hasta la actualidad. Analiza el papel que desempen?a la mujer en la sociedad contempora?nea en la esfera de la creacio?n, desde donde se da una caracterizacio?n de los procesos de creacio?n arti?stica, y la potencialidad de la mujer en lograr la visibilidad y su transformacio?n de objeto de arte en sujeto protago?nico del arte. Pretende resaltar el valor del estudio de los procesos de creacio?n arti?stica en las mujeres y no da conclusiones cerradas, sino que invita a la reflexio?n y al dia?logo.

Abstract
It begins with an appraisal (assessment) of the role-playing by women in arts according to with their development in history, and Asgardians, and makers of culture and arts. These elements are discussed in a Latinoamerican context, and how women have played a key role in particular since the middle of XX Century until nowadays. It is also analyzed the role-playing by women in the contemporaneous society in the fields of creation, and it is also given a characterization of the creative artistic processes and their potentiality in order to reach visibility and their transformation from being an art object to become a key art subject. It pretends to emphasize the study value of the creative artistic processes done by women with flexible conclusions encouraging to think about them and openly discuss these topics.
