Abstract
In this article a study of the theories is made from the scientific realism. It also develops a critique of the different skeptical proposals such as instrumentalism, anti-realism and structural realism. This study describes the importance of scientific realism and the challenges it faces in postmodernity. It is argued that realism should establish a set of rules to select unobservable entities, and that the models used can come to describe reality within the framework of a mature science.
Keywords: Reality, structure, entity, Scientific theories, scientific realism, instrumentalism.
