Abstract

Citizen competencies in preschool boys and girls are fundamental from the first vital stage in which they begin to develop skills as citizens, where they can feel and be part of a society and acquire a commitment to coexistence with others. The school and the family are guides that form children capable of facing the challenges and problems of society, therefore, citizenship skills are of great importance in the comprehensive and educational development of children, where the child feels good in his life, in the environment, that recognizes their rights, values, principles and responsibilities that allow them to strengthen their citizenship skills for the rest of their lives. For this reason, the SEMLEI Research Seedbed of the American University Institution carried out qualitative research, with the purpose of strengthening citizenship skills in children from 3 to 6 years of age in kindergartens in Barranquilla-Atlántico, through playful strategies. that the teacher must implement to strengthen them, through a travel suitcase called: my Citizen Competencies Briefcase.
