Culture of peace and eco-social issues in the traditional retail trade of Ciudad Guzmán, Mexico

Introduction: The diversification of food distribution establishments impacts on labor markets, norms and peaceful societies where the relationship between labor, capital and environment is articulated through social relations where disagreements arise to be addressed from the culture of peace; Objective: to analyze conflicts and culture of peace from the relational eco-social issue of the traditional retail trade of Ciudad Guzman in Jalisco, Mexico; Methodology: mixed study with 39 semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire where 805 people participated, using content analysis, descriptive statistics and Path analysis; Results: description of labor dynamics and social relations, reasons for starting the business, the type of product offered and types of suppliers; in the Path diagram the construct of environment contributes greater weight (0. 409) to the configuration of the ecosocial issue, conflicts are recovered where the role of the culture of peace is highlighted in their resolution from the voice of the participants; Conclusions: it is pertinent to continue developing this type of research to strengthen labor autonomy and family traditions that contribute to the culture of peace by managing tensions with suppliers, customers, competitors and society in general.
